How real estate CE works
Every state real estate commission sets its own renewal cycle (annual, 2-year, 3-year, or 4-year) and its own continuing education requirement. Miss the deadline and your license goes inactive — you can't legally practice, and reinstatement fees stack fast.
First renewals often require a one-time post-license course (10–90 hours) instead of standard CE. After that, every cycle looks the same: a fixed number of hours, usually with a mandatory "core" or "update" course plus electives.
